Today we're introducing step-level analytics for Knock workflows and broadcasts.

You can now see run, delivery, and engagement metrics for each step in your workflows, making it easier to understand how individual messages perform and where recipients engage.

Step-level visibility

Every workflow and broadcast now has an Analytics tab that shows relevant metrics for each workflow step. View the overall workflow performance, or select any step to see detailed performance data, including how many recipients reached the step, how many messages were delivered, and how recipients engaged with the content.

The Analytics tab includes two views:

  • Steps pane. Shows the workflow steps as a canvas or table with quick metrics for each step, such as completed, delivered, read, and clicked counts.
  • Details pane. Shows detailed metrics and charts for the selected step or the entire workflow.

What you can track

For each step in your workflow, you can now see:

  • Runs. How many workflow runs reached, skipped, or errored at each step.
  • Messages. Delivery status including sent, delivered, and bounced counts.
  • Engagement. Unique and total counts for reads, clicks, and other interactions.
  • Top links clicked. See the most-clicked links across message steps.

Each metric includes period-over-period comparisons, so you can track trends against the previous period, the same period last month, or a custom comparison date. You can also compare message steps to other message steps to evaluate performance.

Time-based analysis

Use the time range selector to analyze any window within your account's data retention period. You can also click and drag across any chart to zoom into a specific range.

The charts mark each committed version of the workflow within the selected window, making it easy to line up changes in your metrics with changes to the workflow itself.

Get started

Workflow + broadcast analytics are available today for all Knock customers. Open any workflow or broadcast and navigate to the Analytics tab to see step-level metrics. Learn more in our documentation.
