Today Knock is available as a plugin in Cursor. Install it once and the agent that writes your product code can now also build the messaging that ships with it.
Messaging has never been easier
Knock is messaging infrastructure for sending across every channel, including email, in-app, SMS, push, and chat. The Cursor plugin brings all of it within reach of the agent already sitting in your codebase.
Once installed, Cursor can use Knock's remote MCP server to manage your messaging workflows, templates, guides, broadcasts, and audiences, without a separate MCP config or a service token to manage.
The plugin also includes several open-source skills to help you build effective onboarding sequences, improve copy across messaging channels, and identify growth opportunities.
Now you can ask Cursor to help you build a new user welcome sequence, and the agent will assemble the necessary steps, templates, and conditions. Point it at what you already send to tighten copy across different channel templates, or ask it to pull message logs and summarize any deliverability concerns.
Because your real Knock account sits on the other end, this work lands as an actual resource your whole team can review, edit, and send.
Your growth engineer teammate
The Knock plugin is also available in Grok Bot, making it easy to add a teammate that can manage your messaging based on relevant customer data.
Once connected, ask Grok Bot to create new messaging resources, build dynamic audience segments, send messages across channels, and query your messaging analytics.
Getting started
To use the plugin, open the Knock listing and click "Add to Cursor," or run /add-plugin knock in a new Cursor chat. You'll also find it listed in cursor.directory, where teams can distribute it through a team marketplace so the whole org starts from the same setup.
Cursor will ask whether to add the plugin to the current project or to your user, where it follows you into every project. The first time your agent reaches for a Knock tool, you'll be prompted to connect your existing Knock account or create a new one.
