Messaging infrastructure for enterprise scale

Give engineering, product, and growth teams one platform for every message sent, with the security, controls, and support your organization requires.

An animation of a workflow being built, run, and improved.

Collaborative tools for messaging at scale

Coordinate in-app and out-of-app flows that reach the right users at the right moments. Send dynamic, on-brand messages across email, in-app, push, SMS, and chat.

The New user onboarding workflow in the builder, at Collab.io. An agent step is dragged in from Add a step under the new-user-signup trigger and its prompt is typed: Claude Sonnet 5 writes a welcome line for the recipient that fits their role, into a welcome_line response property. The welcome email greets the recipient by first name, then uses that line. After a 3 day delay, a branch on Created a project? sends a Day 3 tips email to people who have not created one yet and an in-app feed message to everyone else.

Trigger smart automations that send messages across any channel.

Built for visibility and control

Teams work on messaging together in separate environments, and publish when a change is ready. Full logs show every event, including the date, action, and IP address.

An agent's branch forks off main in coral. A person merges it and publishes it, and the change turns ink and goes live, where every run is logged and any version can be reverted.

  1. Work on a branch

Agents work in isolation, not on your live messaging.

  2. Merge and publish

A person reads the diff, then merges and publishes it.

  3. Monitor every run

Logs show details for every step of every run.

  4. Analyze performance

Measure the impact of your messaging across channels.

  5. Manage from your repo

Merge and promote from the Knock CLI and CI/CD.

Unify product, CDP, and warehouse data

Sync data and events from your product, CDP, warehouse, and connected tools to build dynamic audiences and trigger messaging based on any attribute or signal.

Product usage from the Knock SDKs, traits from a CDP such as PostHog, Segment, or Amplitude, account data synced by Hightouch from a warehouse such as Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery, and billing data from Stripe flow into one user model in Knock as user properties.

A dynamic audience updates as those properties change, and a user entering the audience triggers a workflow.

The features you need at enterprise scale

A complete messaging toolkit to reach your customers, anywhere in the world.

  • Per-customer branding

White-label notifications for each customer. Set a logo and brand colors per tenant.

  • Custom notification preferences

Ship a hosted preference center with granular control and custom domain support. Configure by category, workflow, or channel.

  • i18n localization

Map translations to your product's i18n framework, so every message sent supports every locale.

  • Warehouse sync

Sync product, CDP, and warehouse data into Knock, and stream engagement to Segment, Datadog, or your warehouse.

  • Audit logs

Trace every change, delivery, and interaction back to its source. Every event records the date, action, and IP address.

  • Security and privacy

Encrypt data at rest, delete customer data through the API, and obfuscate it in the dashboard.

  • Custom role-based access

Create custom roles for granular control over what each person can view and manage at the account and environment level.

  • Environments

Work on messaging together in development, staging, and production. Promote a change when it is ready.

  • Dedicated infrastructure

Send high message volumes with dedicated queues, and store all your contacts with dedicated compute.

“Notifications at scale”

Notification infrastructure is the most essential part of any product that I'd never dare build myself from scratch or operate at scale. Knock's APIs allow me to focus on my front-end experience, while all the complexity is abstracted away.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Enterprise accounts connect a SAML or OpenID provider such as Okta or Active Directory, and SCIM directory sync provisions members from your identity provider.

Default roles like owner, admin, member, support, and billing each have defined sets of permissions. Create custom roles for granular control over what each person can view and manage at the account and environment level.

Yes. Per-tenant branding sets a logo and brand colors for each customer. Per-tenant preferences let customer admins set default and locked notification preferences for their users.

Yes. Translations map to your product's i18n framework, so one workflow serves every locale.

The audit log records each event with the date, the action, and the IP address, so you can trace a change to its source.

Data is encrypted at rest. Knock runs regular penetration testing and uses least-privileged access. You can automate data deletion through the API and obfuscate customer data in the dashboard.

Knock is SOC 2 Type II certified. The report, penetration test results, and other security documents are in the trust center. Email [email protected] with questions the trust center does not cover.

Yes. Knock is HIPAA compliant and signs a business associate agreement for Enterprise customers.

Enterprise includes contractual uptime and support SLAs, a shared Slack channel, and priority support over Slack, email, and calls. Dedicated success engineers work with your team during implementation and migration. Your agreement states the uptime target and response times.

The Free and Starter plans include a 99.9% uptime SLA. Starter adds priority email support.

You keep the delivery providers you use and move orchestration, templates, preferences, and recipient state into Knock. Configure channels, build workflows in a development environment, and promote them to production when they are ready.

Bulk APIs and inline identification load users, preferences, and tenants as you send, so a one-time export is optional. The Management API, Knock CLI, and MCP server can move templates from another vendor. Enterprise includes template migration services and dedicated success engineers. For more information, read our docs on implementing Knock, including the tutorial for moving from Braze.

Enterprise pricing is custom. Knock offers annual commitments with volume discounts, priced by messages sent or by the users you notify in a month. Agent credits are available at a volume discount. For more information, check out our pricing page or book a demo and the team will scope volume and terms.
