MX record lookup
Look up MX records for any domain to see mail servers, priorities, and identified email providers. Troubleshoot email delivery and verify your domain's mail configuration.
What are MX records?
MX (Mail Exchange) records are DNS records that specify the mail servers responsible for receiving email on behalf of a domain. Each MX record contains a priority value and a mail server hostname.
When someone sends an email to your domain, their mail server looks up your MX records to determine where to deliver the message. Lower priority values indicate higher preference, so the server with the lowest number is tried first. Multiple MX records provide redundancy if the primary server is unavailable.
